SIA’s 48th Biennial Convention

SIA is excited to announce the 48th Biennial Convention will be held in Bellevue, WA, on July 24-27, 2024!

The SIA convention will bring thousands together for professional and personal development and focus on our Big Goal of investing in the dreams of half a million women and girls through access to education by 2031. 

To execute such an important event, we will be launching a call for two key volunteer roles: SIA Convention Chair and SIA Convention Vice Chair. These positions provide members with an opportunity to make a valuable contribution to our global organization while having a fun, unique, and rewarding experience.

SIA is seeking a Convention Chair and Convention Vice Chair for the 2024 SIA 48th Biennial Convention to assist the SIA staff with the planning of this event.

Members who meet the criteria from these areas are encouraged to apply before June 1, 2022.

The Convention Chair and Convention Vice Chair must reside within the domain in which the Convention will be held. Other qualifications are as follows.

Qualifications for SIA 2024 Convention Chair

The application must include your applicable skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, qualified candidates will:

  • support, exemplify and promote the mission/vision of SIA.

  • work to meet the identified convention goals and objectives

  • supports the strategic direction of the organization through the convention program

  • welcome and support convention participants

  • ensure appointment and recruitment of effective volunteers for the smooth operation of convention

  • have proven business acumen, with sound risk management skills, diplomacy, and integrity with the ability to motivate, nurture and cherish a local organizing committee.

  • be highly proficient in the English language and have strong ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English.

Qualifications for SIA 2024 Convention Vice Chair

The application must include applicable skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, qualified candidates will:

  • support, exemplify and promote the mission/vision of SIA.

  • work with Chair to meet the identified convention goals and objectives

  • supports the strategic direction of the organization through the convention program

  • have proven business acumen, with sound risk management skills, diplomacy, and integrity with the ability to motivate, nurture and cherish a local organizing committee.

  • be highly proficient in the English language and have strong ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English.
