SIA Photo Contest Official Rules & Terms

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. 
   The Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc. ("SIA") Photo Contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Participation does not require any purchase or donation and making one will not improve your chances of winning. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. 

2. SPONSOR: 
   The contest is sponsored and administered by Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc., with headquarters located at 1709 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103. 

3. ELIGIBILITY: 
   The contest is open to all Soroptimist clubs and members. Submissions must be made on behalf of a Soroptimist club, not individual members. Participants must adhere to the submission guidelines and obtain necessary media consent for individuals featured in the photos. 

4. ENTRY PERIOD: 
   Entries will be accepted starting on February 3, 2025, and must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM ET on April 30, 2025. Late entries will not be considered. 

5. HOW TO ENTER: 
   Submit your entries through the designated submission form. Each photo must meet the criteria outlined in the contest guidelines, including obtaining and maintaining proof of media consent for identifiable individuals. Unlimited entries are allowed, but each submission should be unique and focus on showcasing SIA's mission in action. 

6. PHOTO REQUIREMENTS: 

   1. Photos must depict Soroptimist programs or the positive impact of their work, prioritizing women and girls being empowered through education and opportunity. 

   2. Submissions should be high-resolution JPG, JPEG, or PNG files, at least 2 MB in size and 300 DPI. 

   3. Images should have good lighting, clarity and composition. 

   4. Photos must not contain copyrighted material, inappropriate content or any identifiable individuals without signed media consent. 

7. JUDGING CRITERIA: 
   Entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges from the SIA headquarters based on creativity, originality, and alignment with SIA's mission. The top three finalists will be selected and featured on SIA's social media channels, where the public can vote for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. 

8. PRIZES: 
   Winning clubs will receive the following: 

   1. 1st Place: $200 SIA Shop Gift Card 

   2. 2nd Place: $100 SIA Shop Gift Card 

   3. 3rd Place: $50 SIA Shop Gift Card 

   Winning photos may also be featured in SIA publications, marketing materials, and online platforms. 

9. LICENSE TO USE SUBMITTED CONTENT: 
   By entering, participants grant SIA a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display their photos for promotional purposes. Entries may be used in SIA’s marketing and publications, with appropriate credit provided to the submitting club. 

10. DISQUALIFICATION: 
    Submissions may be disqualified for: 

    1. Failure to provide required media consent forms. 

    2. Violating submission guidelines, including content restrictions. 

    3. Submitting incomplete or inaccurate entries.

11. WINNER NOTIFICATION: 
    Finalists and winners will be notified via the contact information provided during entry submission. Failure to respond within the specified timeframe may result in disqualification. 

12. GENERAL CONDITIONS: 
    By entering, participants agree to comply with these rules and decisions made by SIA, which are final and binding. SIA reserves the right to modify or cancel the contest if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances. 

13. PRIVACY POLICY: 
    Information collected during entry submission will be used in accordance with SIA’s privacy policy. Participants consent to be contacted for contest-related purposes and promotional communications, with the option to opt-out.
