Best for Women December 2024

Double Your Impact this Holiday Season

Exciting News: New $5K Match Unlocked

Thanks to your generosity, we raised $16,400 on Giving Tuesday to invest in dreams—bringing us 66% of the way to our campaign goal! And the good news doesn’t stop there—Sherry Luz (SI/Vista and North County Inland, CA) was so inspired by the outpouring of support that she has offered to match an additional $5,000 in donations before the end of the year, bringing our total match to $11,000. That means you can still double your impact and help us reach even more women and girls in need! Make your special year-end gift by December 31 to take advantage of this exciting opportunity.

Changes to Club Eligibility for Canva for Nonprofits

For some time, SIA has encouraged clubs to apply for the Canva for Nonprofit program to receive free access to premium Canva features.

Unfortunately, Canva has recently changed its eligibility criteria to exclude subordinate organizations that do not have their own recognition of 501(c)(3) tax exemption from the IRS.

Read about the changes to Canva’s nonprofit program and how that will impact club eligibility.

Featured Learning Lab: How to view and filter my club roster

Reminder: The member portal is only open to club presidents, treasurers and admins as we move through the new dues renewal process. Don’t forget, you can still access member resources from the website anytime!

Club presidents, treasurers and admins can view their roster by logging into the portal and navigating to the Club Profile page. There, you'll find the Affiliated Contacts list, which shows: (1) everyone ever affiliated with your club and (2) all leadership roles held. Most users only need to see Current Leaders and Active Members. This learning lab will guide you on how to filter your roster to display just current leaders and active members.

To print your roster, you have two options:

  1. Quickly print a screenshot of your filtered list from the portal.

  2. Request a printable PDF by emailing siahq@soroptimist.org. Please note that due to high demand for dues support, there may be delays in processing, and we appreciate your patience.

Upcoming portal developments will improve roster management for club leaders.
